My DH and I are planning our first trip to Europe next September/October (sort of a 1st anniversary trip, but a little bit late) and I'd like to start looking at airfares to get a general idea of what we should be budgeting for, but I have no idea where to look.  Does anyone have any favourite sites that they have actually used that have cheap flights?

Zoom has flights to Paris for a pretty good price... my parents are flying there next Summer for about $1000 a person and that's in first class. We've used them for England a few times too and we have never paid more than $700 return taxes in. Another option is to fly to England and then take Easy Jet from England to France or Italy. I've done that a few times because flights in Europe are much cheaper than they are here.

That could be a good idea, I'll have to look into it.  Thanks!

we flew to paris last september with air transat and I think we're going back for our honeymoon in June.  you could try the following websites that we've found useful:  www.aircanadavacations.com; www.transatholidays.com (or might be .ca);  www.travelocity.com;

Counting down to  06/07/08!  Can't wait!

if you want cheap flights go to www.whichbudget.com i use them everytime i fly over to UK/Italy.

when i fly to europe i use zoomairlines. they're the cheapest airline i've found, compared to air transat, air canada, etc.

Just remember though, if you are looking for flights that are over 300 days away, the prices will probably be from this year, so they could change drastically.

Thanks for the reminder - I'm aware that they'll change quite a bit but I didn't even know where to start looking   Thanks for all of the websites!
