Any time in Hawaii is a good time!!! We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon - in May. We travelled to the Big Island - 'Hawaii" and loved it! We stayed on the Kona side of the island where there is plenty of sunshine! We stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa Village resort and would highly recommend it to anyone. Once DH and I arrived - we immediately felt relaxed and welcomed. We hated leaving. It was fairly expensive - especially compared to a Caribbean vacation - but worth every penny!! If you have any other questions - feel free to pm me.

Here are a couple of pics from our honeymoon:

I agree, any time is a good time! The climate in Hawaii is basically the same all year round, it's always beautiful and sunny! I went to Maui last year in August and it was hot and beautiful! We were lucky and had friends to stay with who had a condo there, so I cant really recommend any hotels, but on Maui, good areas to look into would be Lahaina and Wailea. (Wailea is where all the celebs go so I think it would be quite pricey!). Anyway, it is absolutely stunningly beautiful there, definitely go!! The ocean water is as warm as bath water, it is soooo nice.

I agree, any time of the year is great to go to Hawaii. We went in July and it was awesome - sunny and hot, but not unbearable!
Although one of our friends said the winter is the time to go because then you also get the whales around hawaii (if you're interested in whale watching).

We went to both Maui and Oahu for our honeymoon.

I would 100% recommend Maui, especially for a honeymoon, but also just in general.
What is so special (in my opinion anyway) about Maui is how many different climates and land makeup there is on such a small island - incredible. From rainforest on the east coast, to desert in the south and then areas that is all just lava rock on either side of the road! It's so cool! We stayed in Wailea which was awesome!! The beach is like a dream!!
We also found Maui to be super relaxing and more laid back.

Ohau was great too, but it's busier - more "big city" with rushhour too. But there's a lot to see and do there too. It's just less romantic and calm, we found. We still enjoyed it, it was just busier. We stayed in Waikiki.

Definitely Maui.  I've been there a couple times.  We always stay in Kihei, just on the very south side before it becomes Wailea.  It's amazing there.

I would have to agree with the rest and say MAUI!!  I have been 14 time so far and I'm planning my 15th trip this February.  I guess you could say I'm a little addicted to Maui!  I've been there almost every month out of the year and for me personally, I thought September and October were the best months to go for a few reason, but it depends on what you're looking for.  If you're looking for larger crowds, then I would say go in February, March, and the beginning of April.  It really quiets down at the end of August, September and October.  The beaches are very quiet and it's nice and peacefull.  The weather stays mostly the same year round but there are some slight differences.  The "trade winds", winds that come off the ocean are stronger January through May and you will find you  see a bit more rain starting at the beginning of November through till April.

We were there last October when they had the Typhoon (rare for hawaii) which was then followed by an earthquake (scary!) and we still had an amazing time!  The people there are so friendly and I don't think you will find a more beautiful place on earth!  There's so much I could write about Maui so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail me at leighwyryha_454@hotmail.com

Mahalo!

We went to Oahu last January and loved it.  DH parents leave tomorrow for Maui and I here that it really nice as well.

If you want to save some money we used www.vrbo.com and save $70/night on our hotel room.  Let me know if you are interested in going to Oahu and I will give you the name of the person we booked with!  She was amazing and will definately use her again.

We went to Hawaii on our honeymoon on July 9th for 11 days! It was great, plus it wasn't as busy as it would have been in the winter time (so we were told).

We actually took a cruise for 7 days, which I would TOTALLY recommend. It stopped on most of the islands and had fantastic activities planned. We went scuba diving, sightseeing, on boat rides where dolphins jumped by our zodiac boat. It was AMAZING!!

Then we stayed 3 nights at the Royal Hawaiian (the pink palace) on Weikki beach. We hiked up that mountain by Weikki, went to a Pearl Harbour museum, swam all day in the warm crystal clear water and went surfing.

This vacation was absolutely the best one we've ever been on.

Unfortunately, my photos are on another computer.
