I'm wondering when we should be booking our honeymoon. The wedding is July 12, 2008. FH says we have plenty of time, while I'm not so sure anymore. What do you girls think? Any ideas?

| That probably depends on where you are planning to go and how busy that area will be (ie what is the risk of not getting reservations where you want?)

It does depend...there are always things available, we booked about a month ago because I was so excited and we are going to be staying a few days out of the whole thing at a more private type of resort. We missed out on the cheaper room (still expensive) and had to go to the next level. We're going to St. Lucia!

We booked our honeymoon early March (so about 4 months before our July wedding last year). We started researching in January and then booked in March.
Although once you know where you want to go, unless you aren't picky and want to hold out for last minute deals, I'd probably start looking into it and go ahead and book.

We booked our honeymoon in June '07 for February '08. So that is 8 months before our wedding. It really depends on where you want to go and what you want. I wanted a specific room, and I didn't want to have it sell out, plus we are going to St. Lucia and there is only a couple of flights there a week (I didn't want to risk not having a seat on the plane hehehehe).

Thanks for the replies. We're thinking either Cuba or Dominican. How soon do we have to go for Twinrix shots? and do we even need them for Cuba or Dominican?

I need them for St. Lucia and I would imagine anywhere in the Carribean. I went 6 months ahead, you get the first shot then the 2nd a month later and then I think it if 5 months later.
