DH and I are wanting to go to Jamaica within the next year.  So I have a few questions for you that have been:

1.  When is the best time of year to go?

2.  Where is the best all-inclusive place to stay?

3.  Roughly how much did it cost/for how long?

I married my best friend, soul mate and lover!

DH and I are wanting to go to Jamaica within the next year.  So I have a few questions for you that have been:

1.  When is the best time of year to go? It's pretty much the same there all year around... temps are high 20's to low 30's. Rainy season is Dec-April but when we were there in Jan we only had like an hour at night at the most. Hurricane season is July - Nov.

2.  Where is the best all-inclusive place to stay?
Depends on what you're looking for. We stayed at the Riu Ocho Rios and it was awesome

3.  Roughly how much did it cost/for how long?
It cost us roughly $2400 per person from December 29th - January 5th

If you have any more questions let me know!

My fiance and I just got back from Jamaica a few weeks ago.  We stayed in Montego Bay which I would highly reccomend.  It is located between the two major centres of Ochos Rios and Negril.  It takes about 1.5 hours to get to each.  We traveled to both and the next time we go we are definitely going to stay in Negril.

There are some private stone cabins in Negril you can stay in right on the ocean.  I can't recall what the name of them were but they looked incredible.

If you end up around Montego Bay you have to check out the Luminous Lagoon!  It was by far once of the most spectacular things I have ever seen in my life!  The water lights up fluorecent blue... The Beach(movie) style!!

We stayed at a 3 star in Montego Bay and it was alright... but would not reccomend it.  I heard great things about the 5 star Sandals resort in Montego Bay.

Awesome place for a honeymoon!  Hope this helps a little!

Thanks ladies for all your responses!! The places you have all mentioned where basically the ones I was looking at to.

QUESTION:  Are you stuck on your resort or can you walk around the towns ect?

Riu Ocho Rios is a little remote so you can't walk around to somewhere else.. but you can easily take a cab. There's a cab company at the resort (Juta Tours) and I thought they were really reasonable and helpful. There's a lot of day trips offered if you want that too. We took a cab into town a few times and felt very safe each time.
