| Hehaha..im sorry...i HAVE to laugh cause that REALLY is such a man's answer...breaking it down by day by dollar and if you arent getting the bang for your buck.....its not worth it...thats hilarious..its your honeymoon for heavens sake!!!! seriously... if you are willing to spend the EXTRA money for the extra week...then we know its not the money issue..its the not getting the most bang for your buck...well..sorry..no sympathy here..its your honeymoon...not just a regular vacation!!!hahahahaa... I do understand all those things like..its a tease ect...but it just doesnt make sense..not doing it AT ALL because you wont get to do everything you want??? So you'd rather not see any fish because you arent going to get to see every fish????? i dont know...to me thats crazy...id still rather take 1 week over nothing..someone else was right though...maybe find somewhere else to go thats a bit closer so you can enjoy the time....but......this is a woman's forum...man's logic does NOT work here!! hahahaha

| Personally, I think your FH is being really selfish... You're getting time together, why does it matter that you're not getting the full 2 weeks? You can still have as much fun on the beach and doing activities because you're TOGETHER. It's your honeymoon, if you'd rather be snorkelling, then you've got more issues than just the 1 week vacation.

| Your FH's analytical response made me chuckle. But I agree with Beanie that it's a bit selfish. A week in Cuba would be great! You can do 3 or 4 tours while you're there to keep him happy and occupied, and you've still got a few days to laze around on the beach (which sounds like it's right up your alley). And 1 week IS enough time. I found my 2 week honeymoon in Cancun was a wee bit too long. I missed my friends and family and wanted to talk about the wedding with them and look at pictures of that amazing day. I strongly recommend you don't do a road trip. You are going to be so exhausted after the wedding. To put yourselves in that situation is a recipe for disaster. And I don't think you're going to enjoy it - so why bother?

| I agree, you don't want to go on a road trip, you will kill each other! I think 1 week is plenty for an all inclusive. I could see wanting to stay for 10 days if you were driving around to different spots, but you will be at the same resort the whole time. We are getting married in Cuba in March and we are going for 7 days. So this is what we plan on doing, taking the Havana trip, swimming with the dolphins, diving and snorkelling. That takes up what? 3 or 4 days tops? So you still have like 2 or 3 days to do more diving if you want. Honestly, I think you will be dying to come home after 2 weeks and keep in mind, this is coming from someone who doesn't laze around on the beach all day!

| I took 2.5 weeks off, because we got married in Cuba (1 week), flew to Ontario and took off to Ottawa for 4 days for a mini-moon, went to my parents, drove to Niagara Falls, had the AHR there and then flew home. We were bagged when we came home - I got an extra day off because I talked to my supervisor the night we got home and she told me to take the next day off to recoup! As for your FH, I have to side with the other girls - 1 week is plenty, and certainly better than nothing! A road trip, to me, would have been torture - way too much time driving when you could have been relaxing on the beach He can do his snorkling while you lay on the beach, you can do day trips (go to Havana for sure! And the catamaran trips are a lot of fun too), but really, by the end of a week we all wanted to go home and eat familiar food! PM me if you have any questions about Cuba - we were married in Varadero.
Married at the Barcelo Marina Palace in Varadero, Cuba on August 14, 2007 - best day ever!

It's your honeymoon...not a scuba trip. Your wife-to-be gets one week, that's a week more than most people who get zero days off at a new job. I think it's selfish to make her feel badly about this. Take the money you're going to save from taking a week-long trip ($600 per person if I remember correctly), and start a trip savings account for your first anniversary...when you can maybe take two weeks off and do whatever you want then.

I also got 10 days off, actually less, because there was a long weekend in between. I totally can relate because I was planning for Cuba for honeymoon, too (but only for a week). Travel agency told us to come again about 3 weeks before the honeymoon, so we could get it cheaper. Well, it worked the way that Cuba was popular that season and all the air tickets were bought out. There were still options for Barbados and Jamaica, but DH suggested to go around BC so he could show me places where he grew up. He said we might never get around to actually go on a road trip, but if we did it then we could go to Cuba in winter. Well, winter is here and we are not going anywhere. I still want my sun and sand. Apparently DH has a thing against flying and beaches. He should have told me before, so I wouldn't have married him. lolP.S. Yes, I liked BC trip, but I didn't like all the driving. It was like 20 hours or more in the car. I didn't have any time off for a year before that and I was tired as hell with all the wedding DIY's. Had I'd done that again I'd choose Jamaica.
