We have been looking into the all-inclusive places for late August!

For some reason we cant find anything for Cuba, Domincan republic, etc.

We just dont want to go to Mexico.

Does anyone know a website that I can look at? For some reason they dont show me any options for late August!

Hey date twin!  I hear ya, this sucks.  Why are they only showing up until the end of May?!  GAH!

When are you planning on leaving on your HM?  I know we can't leave until the next Sat, due to fewer flights to the Dominican and such places in the summer (it's their "off season", and Europse "on-season", so there are less options that way).

I did have some luck on Expedia.ca, looking under "Packaged" and "create your own Package" Here's one I found, with departure from Edmonton, but you can change that.

http://www.expedia.ca/pub/agent.dll?qscr=cmsh&qsfr=&itid=&itdx=&itty=&ecid=&dsct=&fpri=0&aasl=1&subm=1

Good luck!

I don't think they've set the rates for August yet, although that seems late, since we booked our DW a year in advance.  Hopefully the new ones will pop up soon!

I tried that link.. it sent me to something about a trip to Pheonix! lol

I talked to my dad.. who claims to be an expert on all inclusive resort deals lol .. he said that I should wait until like a month before I plan on going!

Did anyone else do this??

I'm a planning freak and like to have everything all planned out! AHG!

Hmm, not sure why the link doesn't work.  Maybe try a travel agent?

August is also Hurricane season, and there's a possibility that resorts in prime hurricane area don't book things 7 months out. I don't know... as everything I looked at was available that far in advance--but we are going to Mexico.

Your dad is right about booking a month before (or about 8 weeks out)... as you will save a lot of money doing so. Our trip was listed with the travel agent for $2700 pp + taxes. We booked it less than a month before we wanted to go for a grand total of $2700--for both of us and INCLUDING taxes.

I'd highly recommend going to a travel agent if you are having a hard time finding stuff online--they can at least give you brochures or whatever for specific resorts--that you can book online as soon as they become available.
We are members of AMA and found their travel people to be very helpful. I'd highly recommend them if you are also a member.

Good luck,
Melissa
