| Its both our secind time and definately our last, and we want to make it special. I was thinking Dominican, but Cuba seems easier. We are going to invite friends, but are not sure if they will be able to make it, regardless, its just the two of us. Can anyone help with an idea of how much it will cost, when to book and any hotel suggestions that accomidate just a small wedding? Thanks so much

Since it is your second time getting married you will both have to have documents translated and that could be costly. There are tons of great hotels though that you could easily have a smaller wedding at (I think most of the Cuban ones are actually meant more for the smaller weddings because most of the restaurants aren't that large at the resorts I've been to). Good luck planning your wedding!!

| There's a lady on here that got married on a beach on Vancouver Island (Tofino maybe?) with just her and her husband. That's kind of an "exotic" locale, but you wouldn't have to deal with as much paperwork, etc. as an international wedding. Just a thought

Most resorts host small weddings. My husband and I got married in Jamaica but we have been to Cuba twice last year for weddings.
The bride got married at the Iberostar Varadero and it was very nice. We stayed at the sister resort and it was nice as well.
The cost for her resort was about $1500 leaving from Ottawa. We left from TO and paid about $800 taxes in for our resort.

| I got married at the Iberostar VAradero in May 2008 and it was fantastic! Everything we wanted. We had 22 people with us and things went nice and smooth and it was very initmate. We paid about 1390$ taxes incl. for a week in May. The cost of the wedding package was 1200$ on top and that covered everything accept the photos and the videographer. Any questions let me know. | My husband and I went to Punta Cana for our second marriage, there were 8 of us and it was a very small ceremony. To save the hassle of having documents translated we had a minister come to our house four days before with two witnesses and then had the symbolic ceremony in PC, our guests didn't know we did that ahead of time. Not for everyone but it worked for us. Anyway, we've just come back from a trip to the Mayan Riviera at the El Dorado Seaside Suites. We saw a few weddings while we were there and one of them was just the bride and groom and it was beautiful. They have a gazebo right on the beach, what a lovely setting. It's a small resort, around 280 rooms, so that might be another option, even if you have guests with you.

I too am getting married in Cuba. I have been there before and have nothing nice to say about the place. In fact I couldn't enough about the people, place, hospitality of the place. They are as welcoming and accommodating as can be.
Things I've done.....resort, and date booked; guys wedding attire purchased; photographer booked; everything for BUT DRESS!!!

Got married at Barcelo Premium in Punta Cana. We LOVED it there! Price was 1389$ taxes in. Wedding package, we took the cheapest which was 675$ (US). The wedding package included flowers, cake, wine, judge and wedding planner. I thought it was a heck of a good price!!
If you ever decide on booking though, I suggest you make sure you reserve in the renovated section of the hotel! Some of our guests didn't because they wanted to save $$....but the difference in the rooms was worth the extra cash!!

Melia Las Dunas in Cayo Santa Maria Cuba-Beautiful! Or the Occidental Hideaway! Adults only and amazing! The nice thing tho about the Melia is that they have a wedding coordinator in TO so you dont have to try and communicate with someone on "island time"!
