Well, that sad point has come - I had to give the jeweller my e-ring so they can create my wedding band.

To my surprise - they brought out a whole bunch of costume jewellery for me to pick out a loaner from. I was surprised - what a great idea! I guess a lot of girls get comments like "oh what happened did you guys break up" and whatnot. So now they just automatically give you something to wear while they have the e-ring.

I was going to choose something completely different from my ring, just for fun, though the big stones certainly looked every bit as fake as they are. So I ended up choosing a (fake) diamond and sapphire eternity band - much like what my wedding band will be (just not eternity).

I miss my e-ring very much (its only been two days) but I do like having something new on my finger to look at.

FH has sort of picked out his ring - he picked out a Tungsten ring that he liked, but he wants black Tungsten. Vandenberg's didn't have one in stock, but one has been ordered. If FH likes the black, we'll get the one he picked out but in black.

When I have to lose mine, I going to wear my moms engagement ring from my dad, he died ten years ago. So even though I'm going to hate losing my ring I'm happy I can still wear one with emotional significance.

That is a really great idea! How nice of them to do that for you

My FH wants black tungsten as well, it's pretty hot! Do you mind my asking which jewelery store you went too?

I think this is a great idea I know when I had to take my ring in I ended up buying a cheap ring to wear because I knew I would miss wearing it. It would have been really great if the place I got my ring sized would have had a program like this.

Spence diamonds is where my FH got my engagement ring and they also provided me with a loaner ring but FH had to ask the sales lady for me (I thought he was joking so I told him to ask) and had to give a deposit, which he got back when I got my real ring back. I ended up choosing a ring that looked similar to my ering but I think it had a slightly larger diamond.

I'm glad that they had soemthing like that because I wanted something to show off to everyone that I got engaged!
