| The RIU in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is great. I was there a few years ago, and since then, they have built a new RIU right beside it called the Santa Fe. I'm pretty sure if you stay at the Santa Fe, you get access to both properties. I absolutely LOVED Cabo, and I want to take my husband there sooooo bad! ( I was there working for 2 weeks) There is lots to do, and the town is only 5 min away and it is very Americanized and I felt really safe in the town - even at night.

| I honeymooned at the Riu Cancun and really enjoyed it. I also visited the Riu Caribe and Riu Palace Las Americas while in Cancun. They were both very nice, but I found the Caribe needed updating and the pool area and outdoor buffet restaurant was very cramped. The Las Americas was gorgeous. Loved their courtyard pool and jacuzzi. We didn't eat there. I've also stayed at the Riu Jalisco (in Nuevo Vallarta, just outside Puerto Vallarta, Mexico). It was fantastic! Amazing property, food, staff, everything! I stayed there 2 years ago and was determined to stay at a Riu for our honeymoon because of that experience.
