| Ok so, I got FHs ring the other day, and he wanted something very plain and cheap (no complaints there). But I was thinking that maybe one day he might want (or I might want to get him) something that's just a little more fancy, ie. gold, or with a diamond or two. So I know some people don't like the whole "vow renewal" ceremony (as I said, thinking way in advance here), but personally, I'm not even married yet, and I can't wait for it! We haven't decided when we will do this, but basically, one day years down the road he is going to "propose" again, with my new vow renewal ring, and then we will do whatever we want to do when the time comes. So, I asked him the other day, that maybe, since he will be getting me another ring to go with my first two, that if he decides he might like something a little more fancy, or just a change, that it might be neat if he got a new ring too. Now I am pretty sentimental, and don't think I could bear to watch his old ring collect dust on the shelf, so I suggested maybe that he wear the old ring on his right hand. (I now wear my promise ring on the ring finger of my right hand.) He seemed very excited about this idea! But is that weird? I've never ever seen that before, some guys don't even wear their wedding ring at all haha! So, would you find it kind of "funny" (for lack of a better weird) if a guy had two wedding rings sort of. (Again, I know I have years and years to think this through lol, just thought I would ask since it was on my mind! Sorry this was long! Thanks!

You could always just get him another ring as an anniversary present when the time comes... you don't have to go as far as renewing your vows, if you don't want to. Also, he could always wear his old ring on a chain or you could wear it on a chain as a necklace aswell As for me, my FH has picked a ring that I'm not too fond of aswell... so i'm kinda hoping that in a few years we can switch it up hehe

I dont think it would be weird at all. My FH doesnt like wearing necklaces or watches or anything but he has always worn his school ring and likes wearing it. After my FH proposed and gave me my ring, we picked out a ring for him as well because we are having a long engagement and we both thought it would be nice since my mom gave my dad an engagmenent ring too. He wears it on his left ring finger right now, but when we get married he will wear it on his right hand and his wedding ring on the left (then he can stop wearing his school ring which i think is hideous, lol) He will probably get a fancier style for his w-ring though. I think its perfectly fine if your FH feels comfortable wearing two rings, otherwise i wouldnt bother with buying another one later since the first one is really sentimental.

After almost 40 years of marriage, my parents have worn out their rings. I think it would be cool to do a vow renewal and present him with a new ring when the original wears out.
I wouldn't think it strange for a man to wear 2 rings, if he so desired.

It wouldn't be weird at all! That's a personal choice. A lot of people these days choose non-traditional ways to express their love! There is no wrong way to wear wedding jewellery, so if it has special meaning to you and your FH, then do it for sure!
