I know exactly how you feel. I am having the exact situation. I am actually probably the bride you recall.
My advice is to just stop telling her stuff. I did this, unless she asked then I would ask what she was thinking and then say oh that is nice and leave it at that. I have refrained to give any ideas.
In all honesty. Your friend is the one that will look like the fool as your wedding will most likely be a complete extension of you and Fh as well as be way classy than hers because you are taking the time and energy to find the perfect things. This is how I see my wedding. How ever i also got a sneak peak which made me a bit happier, because I saw just how different our weddings really were going to be.
She tried to mimic my engagement photos with her photographer and they turned out horribly. I had mine taken in the mountains with an extremely talented photographer, no staged photos. All her photos were staged and looked really unnatural.
So my advice, being in the same situation. Don't worry they will look different, but be the listener and stop giving her your vendors, or tell your vendors that you would like to keep it all a surprise and not to share with anyone. I know my vendors have been really good about it and are waiting for photos from MY wedding to share any of the things I am doing with other brides, ie my friend.
