Curious about how to make an RSVP post card.... any one have a template or picture of how they did theirs?? What kind of paper would you use?? Is cardstock suitable? Any insight would be great.
Marrying my love, on Sept 20/08... with our children at our side.

My sister in law made all my invites and rsvps we did the postcard style to cut costs..
I dont have a picture but, we use card stock the same as the invites.
one side she but some seashells to go with our beach theme
and on the other side on the right is my address, and a place for the stamp. in the middle is a black line to divide the page and on the left I just put please RSVP by May 19, 2008
M_____________
___ I 'SHELL' be there
No. of persons ___
___ All 'TIDE' up must 'WAVE' the invite
I went to the post office to make sure what the min. size was as well

This was ours:

The other side had the stamp in the top right hand corner, and our return address on ivory paper in the centre. We used brown cardstock and ivory (heavy weight) paper.

| I think I'm missing something...why is the postage for an RSVP post-cards less expensive than a normal RSVP?? Ohhhhhh OR is it that you don't need to buy an envelope?? (I just had a brain moment there!) I'm not sure I like the idea though, feel kind of "naked" to have it floating around in the world without an envelope.

Postage for a postcard is not cheaper. Assuming you've met the weight and size requirements, it will cost the same as a "regular" RSVP card with envelope. But yes, you will potentially save money as you don't have to buy envelopes.I wasn't too sure about doing an RSVP postcard either, but I figured there's only info on there that makes sense to the receiver, so it's no big deal if some guy at the post office sees 1 person RSVP'd by October 1st for a wedding and requests chicken.
