My sister had her shower a week before her wedding...she lived away from home and it was the only time that she was there.... people still came and had a wonderful time!!

| Tell you FMIL that she should be happy to be invited and that if the timing is not convenient for her she dosen't have to attend. I think my MOH was thinking some time in late July for a September wedding but most of our families live in town. Let us know how it goes.

I don't think it's too close. I had mine mid-January and got married the end of Feb.

| It's not that close...I wouldn't worry A lot of people have there shower and stag about 1-2 months before the wedding so I think your ok  I had my shower at the end of August and we got married in October so it was about 2 months prior to the wedding.
