Wow you guys are so helpful.... ummm my wedding is july 19th, the ceremony is outside and the reception is at the legion hall, we have about 160 ppl coming and limited space, Im not opposed to a theme, im kinda just stuck on what to do for decorations and whether to do table numbers or headings, my girlfriend had different hunting areas as headers on her tables with the peoples names who were seated there. I really like this idea but I kinda need a theme for that. I should mention Im on a major budget! We're talking no more than 5 G's for the whole thing.

So far:

Grooms tux: black with black shirt and ivory vest and tie

Groomsmen: black with black shirt and brown vest and tie

Here are the pics of my dress and the bridesmaids

i LOVE your bridesmaid dress! who makes that?

awww you look soooo happy in your dress!

this is what i did for my table numbers - i named each table after a restaurant/pub/place that was of significance to our relationship i had the bar we met at, the hotel we got engaged at, the restaurant we had dinner the night we got engaged, the restaurant we had our first date at, our favourite greasy spoon, etc...and i put a little story as to why they were important to us - everyone loved them! they were going from table to table reading - just like i hoped they would!

here's an example of ours

How about a "chocolate" theme... You could rent a chocolate fountain, or (perhaps less pricey)  have a couple fondue sets (one with regular chocolate, one with dark chocolate, and one with a creamy white chocolate to match all your colours.)  You can get chocolate scented candles easily (our dollar store sells them) for the centerpieces.  If your wedding isn't in July or a really hot month, you could get hot cocoa packages as a favour, or make your own recipe for hot cocoa mix in a mason jar and decorate them with ribbons and labels

Celestial would be really neat, too.  You could have black table cloths, sprinkle gold glitter everywhere, lovely beige stars and moons, have dark fabric with twinkle lights behind it. (you could borrow white christmas lights from family and friends), or make your own star mobiles. You can get glow in the dark stars which will glow when you dim the lights for your first dance, or one of those light box thingies that turn the whole ceiling into a starry night (they have children's toy versions for less expensive than the accurate constellation ones.)

Other themes with those colours might be "butterfly", "coffee shop", or "masquerade"

(think the masquerade on the Phantom of the Opera movie--lots of Mardi Gras type masks with glitter and feathers and fans) This would go well with classical or jazz music...)
