No luck. The lawyers couldn't agree, so now we have to wait up to 10 days for the judge to make the final decision. This is the WORST.

At this point we're going to continue looking and I'm going to try to de-stress, because I'm currently trying to finish up my MA thesis and can't afford any more strung-out no-write days.

BAH! Strangely, I still feel like this is our house...

Ok, today was absolute insanity today - long story short: lawyers couldn't agree, was sent to a judge to decide within next 10 days.

Tonight another offer came in and their realtor (already totally shady) tried to pull one over on us. Increased our offer. Our realtor is filing a formal complaint against the other realtor, and madness ensued.

I'm not exactly *happy* because we feel so manipulated - but the end result is that we ended up price-wise exactly where we thought we'd end up for this house.

The inspection is tomorrow, so that gives us some wiggle room - we'll see how it goes, and HOPEFULLY we'll have our house tomorrow...

Biiiiiiiig breath.

If you have had your offer accepted, their realtor cannot 'accept' another offer unless it is a back up offer, in case you guys decide upon inpection that you want to walk away or unless your financing falls through. If you guys walk away, at THAT point the other offer can be accepted. AND, their realtor can not now try to get more money out of you if your offer has already been accepted. And they can not go with another offer if yours offer already been accepted by the seller! Shady!

We went through a TON of stress with the selling of our house and the buying of our current home. Keep your chin up!! Everything happens for a reason, don't give up hope!

We did, yay! http://forums.canadianbride.com/Topic622374-22-1.aspx

Now we're in the middle of all of the mortgage paperwork and planning for moving, but we're still SO excited - it's still surreal that we got our house!
