| Hi Girls, I was wondering for those that made your own invites what did you use to stick the two pieces together? I am doing pocketfolds and need to glue/tape/stick the pieces together. What is the BEST thing to use? Thanks!!!!

My pocket folds were pre-made!!
But if i was going to make them I would highly recommend to NOT use tachy glue because it will deform your paper.
and make sure whatever you use that it is 'acid-free' glue!
If it was me, I would buy use a thin glue stick

| I think it depends on the type of cardstock/paper you use.. I folded my pocket over and glued it down with a glue stick and that worked great (it's a matte cardstock), but I remember trying to use the same glue on a metallic sheet and it didn't work as well.. I used two-sided photo sticky things to stick the invitation to the inside. ***edited may 12th, 2008*** I just finished stuffing all my invites.. I changed the cardstock I had used originally and the glue stick did not work. So I used two sided photo mounts, and that SEEMED to work well. I even put 3 of my mom's heaviest cookbooks on top of them for about a week to keep them pushed down. Well after stuffing them with the RSVP envelope and card, the map card and the guest info card, about 90% of them have popped open. Went to walmart, bought a stronger glue, and now I have to reglue down all the sides.. it's messier, but this one works, tried it last night.. sigh

Double sided tape is what I used for my invites. It's working fabulously!

| I second double sided tape. You can always cut it length-wise if the tape is too wide. I also found that glue runners worked well as well (especially for gluing paper onto cardstock).

I am using "glue dots" for mine...they seem to hold very strong and don't deform my cardstock. I tried a glue stick and it came apart too easily...maybe there are better glue sticks out there that I need to find!

I had standard matte paper card stock and found that the glue stick wasn't strong enough so i used elemers wood glue believe it or not and it worked great
