| Hi Ladies! I've decided to make my own menus and program. The menu requires some cutting and the program requires some folding!!! So i'm thinking today of buying a paper cutter and a scorer (which I understand is what helps to give you the perfect crease) Any tips?? Words of wisdom???

I have a fiskars paper cutter which I love. They sell it at Michaels but it is cheaper at costco (if they still sell it).

As for a scorer... I just use a handheld one with a ruler... there must be an easier way to do it!

I have an anti-recommendation!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, buy the cricut paper cutter! The blade dulls SO fast. I have a dollar store one that lasted longer LOL!
I bought a new fiskars cutter and L-O-V-E it!

I've heard good things about the fiscars ones.
We bought a staples duotrim, and it's heading for a landfill soon (sadly, because it's too sucky to even donate).
For scoring, just use a ruler and a non-serrated butter knife...

Scor-It was $63... wow!!! Memory Keeper in Hamilton sells it for around $30.. cannot remember exact price... they have an online site too... www.discountscrapbookingsupplies.com check it our!! I have ordered all of my paper and envelopes through them and get crop time in their room with use of all supplies so plan to use theirs but I did check it out for a future purchase for cardmaking.

| I have a bit of advice for you...the cheap ones work just as good as the expensive ones, but the expensive ones are more sturdy. I paid $16 for my little fiskars cutter, and that was 3 yerars ago. I just buy new blades every few months. But I am going to buy a new one for wedding stuff...that's pretty much my excuse to get ALL new crafting stuff.

A lot of the paper cutters come with a scoring blade - you just switch out the cutting blade for the scoring blade and off you go. I've got a purple Fiskars one (I think it was around $30? Don't remember, I've had it for ages) and I had a cheapie green one before that worked fine for a year or two, but then it started to warp a bit.
