PLEASE SEE P 2 for more pictures!

Ok, so I finally bought a possible plate to pull my centrepiece together, and want to know what you ladies think.  Please note that the flower is my hair flower, so the comb is making the candles separate a bit (they'll be closer together in the real thing)

#1 - Do you ladies like the plate underneath/think it works?

#2 - do you think it is fall-ish?  I am having a fall wedding, and want it to go with the general feel (my colours are the orange of the flower and a chocolate brown.

Thanks in advance for the input!

The flower is lovely   I betcha the candles would look good with a brown/gold ribbon tied around them!

I'm thinking a mirror would look more lovely underneath the candles.  It would reflect the glow and be very romantic.  If you wanted something simpler, just use plain glass. (e.g. buy an oval picture frame from the dollar store and remove the frame)

Wow! you did an awesome job, those look great

I second the idea of wrapping a ribbon around the candles.. something shiny, like gold or metallic brown.

And for the mirror.. I think if you did go with something, you would have to put something UNDER the mirror too.. like a wicker placemat or something to bring the colour back!

again, AWESOME job!!

I really like it!  It is simple, and definately fall colours (which by the way I think are so beautiful, unfortunately I'm not having a fall wedding!)  I agree with the two PP that the ribbons around the candles would be a nice addition.

Those turned out SO good! I love how simple they are...they are gorgeous! I agree with the PP's that a ribbon around the candles would look awesome and would finish off the look!

I agree with the other girls. But I think the flower doesn't really look fallish - JMO

Thanks ladies for the critique.  I LOVE the idea of the ribbon, I was thinking about it last night and have a plan to use a thicker gold ribbon with a thinner brown over top, maybe even with a word stamped on each (gold ink) like love, honour, cherish, or something like that.

Missdish - thanks for the honest opinion.  The flower is what is being used everywhere, I love the lilies, so it's the best I can do.

So should I go out and buy more of the plates?  I don't know about the idea of the mirror and a placemat, as the tablecloths wil be white with either an overlay or runner in colour (probably the red), so I don't want the table to look too "layered."  Does this make sense?

Keep the opinions coming ladies!  I really appreciate it!

I was just at IKEA today, they have circle placemats, in a swirly wicker for 1.99 each! They would look awesome!
