| Hi Ladies I just found out that i'm pregnant, doctor said i'm due Nov 25 or 28th, can't remember, as it was a bit of a blurr!!! I am happy, but scared out of my mind. I definetly was not expecting this, nor was FH, he doesn't seem as happy, just complete shock. Our wedding is Sept 23/06. I was on Depo for 3 years and went to an Oral in Sept, they say it takes 1-1/2 years for Depo to get out of your system, not for me... What would I do for the wedding now, I can still get married in sept right? What about my dress? I'm not trying to sound selfish, because I am getting excited, but what do you do?My fh just as of 2 weeks ago started his own business, when I told him, he just went ahgggg, and are you sure, and how can this have happened, I feel bad now b/c he's sad. We do want kids 2 for sure, maybe he is just shoked that's all. Is there ever the right time to have kids? If I don't make sense sorry, I'm at work, it's 4:30am, i'm tired!!!! Thanks for the help in advance. Lynzee

Congrats!! Having a child is th most wonderful experience in the world! (I have a 3 year old) Everything will turn out all right. I don't think there is ever a right time to have a baby, I don't think you can ever be completely ready for one (others might have different opinions). I hope everything works out for you. and again congratulations I am sure FH will come around.
I became a MRS. October 14, 2006
Mommy to Vanessa January 20,2008

| I don't have children but I know everything will work out. As for the wedding... you can still likely wear your dress but you'll definitely be needing a bigger size. You could possibly move the wedding up or leave it in September. Either way would be lovely and appropriate. Likely your FH is simply in shock and it will take him a little bit to get his head wrapped around becoming a husband and a father within a couple months of each other. Take a deep breathe, relax and keep planning for everything. It'll all be fine. Best Wishes!

Not to worry. We found out we're expecting Nov. 6, our wedding is Aug. 5. I was on BC pills as well. I hate to admit it, but my biggest worry was fitting into my dress. You spend so much time looking and then you spend a ridiculous amount of money and you might not even be able to wear it. I'm taking mine to a seamstress and if it has a lace up back put in and a satin border at the top (it's strapless) that should give me room and a little extra length if it is pulling up short over my tummy. It should be possible to still wear it. Your FH sounds like me at first, I wasn't too impressed at first but I am excited now. You just can't miss the obvious: If you get pregnant on the pill, you are with the man you love, someone is telling you that this is the right time whether you know it or not at the time. Trust me, I can't miss it. I just graduated nursing in Feb., started my career, we're getting married in August, having a baby in November. The three major events in life are happening this year. Someone's telling me 2006 is MY year, know what I mean?
And all the shock and how huge having a baby is makes wedding planning so much easier!!!! I'm just not sweating the small nitpicky stuff anymore. It's great. And everyone will be so excited!!!! It's already a big day for you, but when all your loved ones are there to share in your wedding day and your expecting, I think they will be that much more excited!!! These are the people that matter.
Anyway, sorry it's so long, everything will work out.
I just know exactly what your going through.
Take care,
Des

| Thanks so much for everyones advice.. I was thinking that maybe I can just alter the dress I have, it needs at least a foot taken off, so maybe the waist can be taken off, and add that stretchy elastic to the top, I don't know. Or when we have our stag and doe, get married that night instead, I think the bridal party is making it for July 14th, thta would be kind of fun...at 10pm we go and get ready and come out as a surprise...Does that sound dumb, just thinking of alternatives??
