What you should do is MAIL HER INVITE BACK TO HER and hi-light all the places it has his name seeing she was so positive she never wrote it there!!!! Good luck hon!! I'm inclined to agree with this, but perhaps I'm just being petty about it! LOL Seriously, there was no excuse for her to be so rude, IMO.

Anik664 (4/19/2008) OK whatever, I didn't notice there were two envelopes. Probably the chick just screwed up.
I called her and posted above what she said to me. Yes, she screwed up, but won't admit it. And his name was on more than just the envelopes, but INSIDE THE INVITATION, AND ON THE RRSP CARD.

Maybe I'll just send the invite back to her with the rrsp card... I won't highlight it, because I think that would just be pushing it a little, and I really honestly don't care that much. Her response to me was pretty damn rude though, and the more I think about it the more I am positive I am not going.

As easy as it is to say I would do something mean, in reality, I would rarely actually do it! LOL

lol! I'm actually usually the same way.... all talk, but then when it comes to really being mean, it doesn't happen.

IMO,I think its be plain to see that the son is invited to the wedding. He is, however NOT invited to the dinner and reception. umm where is that plain to see ?? maybe you should have re-read the OP I would have been just as confused.. and what she did was really rude and uncalled for.. I would totally highlight your sons name and send it back to her and no your not coming she didnt need to act like a brat when you asked her a question Thanks. I don't think we will go actually. It's less than 2 weeks before my wedding, and mine is a DW, so it's actually only about 4 days before we leave so I'm pretty sure I'll be pretty busy anyways. FH is probably working anyways.... She also told her sister (who told me, my family is full of big mouths) that the only reason she picked the date she did is because she wanted to be the first grandchild to get married.... I could honestly care less whether I was the first person or last person in the family to get married. But apparently it's a concern of hers. Her date is also going to be my parents 30th wedding anniversary. She also called my little sister and told her that she better not wear her red dress, her purple dress or her green dress. WTH?! It's not like she's in the wedding party or anything! My little sister is really beautiful and tends to shine in whatever she wears, so we are pretty sure that my cousin told her not to wear those things just because she might outshine my cousin.... Although she could probably still wear jeans and a t-shirt and still shine. I guess that's a whole other vent though! Personally, I don't care what anyone wears to my wedding, as long as it's not a white or ivory dress.... Sorry, I am, I think one of the most patient people in the world, but when I read all of this, my blood pressure went up to 5000. I would never, ever tell anyone what to do, but if all of the above happened to me, I would definitely not go. She sounds like a spoiled little brat. How dare her tell people what they can and cannot wear. I think I better stop now....it's going up to 6000.

| hehe... I think it would be funnier if you actually showed up at the wedding WITH YOUR SON, since his name is on the invite and the rsvp...lol, she would REALLY be pissed then! I wouldnt want you to actually do it, but it would be funny! lol
