DH and I just signed the paperwork for our first home yesterday. We get the keys on August 6th!

Yay..congrats. My kitchen was completely pepto pink when I bought my house- even the ceilings with lovely panelling and wallpaper. It's good that you can see past that and envision what you will do to make the home your own. Congratulations!!

Close enough that Dad could walk over but far enough that it likely won't happen often. More specifically, about 1km or so.
Can't see mom ever coming over though as we will be picking Kitty up at my inlaws soon after we move.
