ok here goes my list:

-no stds

-no reply cards for our invites, but a phone number instead

-evening wedding with no sit down dinner, but only a late night buffet

-getting married in the same place as my reception, therefore no church

-no real wedding dress, I'll be wearing a bridesmaid dress

-no bridesmaids or anything

-fh and i live together, sleep together and will most def be spending the night before the wedding together and most of the morning.

-absolutely NO flowers... still trying to think of something to carry other than a bouquet.

-no decorations in the venue at all , except we are putting extra effort into having gorgeous tables.

-cash bar, however we may have wine for each table.

-no traditional dances, except our first dance

I'm sure theres more, but I can't think of them right now!

ME TOO!!

This is fun;

FH and I are both divorced with children (3 in total)

We've lived together for 6 years

no STD

no stag / shower

no gift registry

no wedding dress - wearing a beautiful silk BM dress in ivory

no veil

no flowers for parents

no cake (meringue nests with fresh fruit instead), no garter or bouquet toss

no reception line, no first dance or parent dances

no head table

no favours - just a candy buffet

Just oe BIG casual backyard party with 150 friends and family and a live band after our vows are done!

Let's see:

-not wearing a veil
-getting married by marriage commissioner
-no save the dates OR reply cards (gave email addresses instead)
-cash bar
-not renting a limo (getting married in same place as reception)

Hmm, the thing is, I don't really know about many traditions, so I don't know which ones I've left out

What we didn't do I don't consider tradition.  But reading some of the posts I guess most of you do.  Stange the more I read on here about "normal", "traditional" and "right" makes me really see that it is such a pesonal opinion of these things, you know what I mean?

- We did not get marreid in "my" church (i'm Roman Catholic by baptisim, but they would not marry us b/c DH is divorced, so we married in the United church)

- no STD (never even heard of them until I joind this board.  I thought STD was a whole different thing!)

- Only feed supper to wedding party, parents, siblings & MC.

- no wine on tables at reception

- cash bar

- lived with Dh for 5 years before we got married

- My brother stood on my side

- Did not consumate the marriage on the wedding night

- I'm sure there is more, but as I said it's such a personal opinion, that I'm sure someone would find something I don't see if they looked into our wedding.

We did it!  We are now husband & wife!

Our Peanut will be joining us around Aug. 2!

Hmm lets see...

Planning wedding before proposal
No church
No wedding party
No flower girl or ring berrer
No garter or bouquet toss
No bachelorette
Coed shower that my mom is going to plan (and I know about it)
Reception at a dinner theater
No dancing, speaches, etc
Not paying for booze, hoping for dry wedding, but that is going to be hard
Ceremony an hour away from reception
Wearing white even though not a virgin
OR wearing colour, undecided
Maybe no invites, unsure
RSVP by phone
Might see eachother before ceremony
Might spend night together before
No Somethings O.N.B.B.
Untraditional dress ala melinda gordon as my fbil likes to call it, or medieval
No blusher, maybe no veil, undecided
Extreamly small guestlist (20 ppl)
First dance might be on stage
No tiara
Untraditional vows
No pro photogs at reception
Cupcakes
Dollorama favors
No reception line
No decorating reception site
No stds
No late night buffet
Probably no registry
Fh helping me pick or design dress
Fh coming with me to dress try ons
Engament ring is a wedding band, and we're using it as such too
Not being walked down the aisle, or given away

That's all I can think of right now
