| Could you do your TTD after the at home party? How "trashed" it gets is really up to you.

I haven't picked my dress yet but I'm considering just getting a nice white dress from a department store for those pics.....just in case it does get trashed.

I have done it I actually bought a second dress to "trash" (which i also wore at the dancing reception) so both of my dresses were dirty, and the one I wore in the pool and the ocean came out cleaner than the "real" one...It honestly didnt hurt it at all!

| I asked the owner of the boutique where I bought my dress as she has had a lot of DW brides and her advice was to not go in salt water as it quickly disintegrates material. She said that pool water and fresh water was fine, but salt water can be very damaging. She did say that if I really wanted to go into the ocean, to do so quickly and immediately wash off the dress...and make sure to get all the salt off. Ultimately I think it is up to you - how trashed do you want your dress to be? I think that if your AHR is fairly soon after the trashing, and you don't want to keep your dress in a box and in perfect condition forever then a TTD session will be fine.

I did it and my dress isn't trashed at all. I was rolling around in the ocean and covered in sand. I even had a tonne of grass and dirt stains along the bottom from walking through the forest. My dress looks brand new after coming back from the dry cleaners! It was fun and I got some great pictures!
