sways (4/28/2008)
Ok so let's get started... 1) FH still doesn't have his full wedding party...yeah i'm LOVING that considering Hmm, sounds like he needs to make up his mind! for your sake, and the GMs! 2) the DJ is giving me a hard time and wants paid $1200 in full up front like right now for a september 27th date! Wow, that's a bit nutty. He won't accept half now, to hold the spot? I wouldn't pay everything up front, personally. Are there other DJs you could go with if he keeps being a dink? 3) i got screwed outta my limo now and everyone is telling me packages for 5-6 consecutive hours and yet i need 3 pick up and drop offs and THATS IT Don't think you're going to get out of that one. Generally weddings are done on a per hour basis, with a minimum 4) i can NOT figure out centerpieces and it's driving me crazy insane Relax! You have time! Gather inspiration pics (I'm sure you have), sort them based on favorite, then decide on colours, etc. Post your fav pics, your venue, and your colours, and I'm sure you'll get ideas from the ladies here! 5) running out of time to get a venue for the stag n doe and i seem to be the only one bothered by this Hmm, no advice for this one. 6) guestlist 1 is still not done and FH just doesn't seem to be much concerned about it at all, he just figures i'm taking care of EVERYTHING Give him a deadline. Say "I need your guests and their address by XX date, or too bad!" Hopefully with a solid thing to do, and a deadline to get it done, he'll step up. 7) kinda hard to figure out wedding party gifts when we don't even have a full party on his side, my side was figured out within 2 weeks of setting a date Nothing you can do until your FH picks his guys. Perhaps focus on what you want to get your girls. Let him worry about the gifts for his guys! (make sure he knows that's HIS responsability) 8) i feel like im the ONLY one that really gives a crap about this wedding at all ***HUGS*** Sorry you feel like that. Maybe tell your FH how overwhelmed you are, and how you would really appreciate some help on his end, esp the tasks he needs to take care of! Not much else to say. Good luck!

| I totally understand. FH still doesn't have a full party. we're on round 6 of asking people. Seems like no-one wants to be in the wedding. My sister is the MOH, and has been in Montreal with work for the last 4 months. So needless to say, no planning with her, no stag and doe plans yet, and no idea what's going on with any showers. I feel really overwhelmed with everything. I'm just trying to take it day by day and set one task per day. Get that done and fell sucessfull in the little things. take a deep breath babe!! things will get better. and remember it's one day, and you're relationship has to last a life time.

Sways, there are plenty of limo companies that offer an hourly rate. (kids going to their proms, etc.) The second you say it's for a wedding, the majority of them want a 5 hour minimum. I spoke to my limo company and advised them first I want a limo for 2 hours only, they said okay and then I told them it was for my wedding. They were totally fine with that. Good luck!

| maybe i'll try that route and not mention it's a wedding and go with the hourly and THEN tell them it's a wedding at the end of the quote! LOL thanks for the advice guys. i'm going to have a long talk with FH and just say look if you don't input and help then fine i will do everything but when the entire guestlist is all my friends and family and no one from yours don't get mad etc. i'll pick his flippin wedding party too if i have to!

I booked with H2-Limos (world of limos) and I am paying $400 for 2 hours since that is all I need.
