I have travelled to Cuba and my flight was late like yours.  I have also gone to the DR and it was the same thing.

I know Cuba is different, but my flight from Jamaica arrived in halifax at 0300 am!!! we were all BEAT!!  i left and got in a cab... forgetting to say good bye to some of my guest... it was horrible getting in at that hour!!!  Sorry that you have such a crappy flight back... however, as i plus we did get to enjoy a full last day at the resort.. that part was FUN!!
