| Hey there! Ok so we're having 75 people at our wedding, though when we bought everything we got it with 90 people in mind....so for the people that get to come to our wedding, it will be the feast of candy buffets! I really think our biggest find is the Dollarama scoops and buckets. They have these cute buckets for a dollar each (lol duh) and though they are smaller, we've spent 27 bucks total. (Yes.....we're having 27 buckets...oh lord!) They were easy to decorate and after the wedding, if I don't sell them, I won't feel like I wasted money on glassware. (Though glass ware looks very swank). For candy, I followed the advice of a bride on another wedding board and went to John Vince Foods in North Toronto. AMAZING deals! Better than Bulk barn. So.....in the end our candy bill came to $212...but we got like 5lbs of like 12 different kinds of candy.....lol it makes me laugh just thinking about it. Also, we went a week after easter and got easter style kisses, candy corn, etc that look more wedding-y....though that wasn't a prerequisite cause I got a Oh...and the boxes that guests put candy in are pint size chinese takeout boxes I got in chinatown for $0.22 each. Though I have a feeling toward the end of the night people are going to be bringing buckets home. Should be fun!

| I work right near John Vince with my grandpa on tuesdays! It's a great little place, I'll be checking them out as well as bulk barn when the time comes! How early did you all buy your candy? I don't want any of it to go stale!

My wedding is May 10...and I bought the week after commercial Easter. I think a good time to go is like a little after a good candy holiday (easter, valentines, christmas). I think you wouldn't want to keep the candy longer than 3 mos......but it lasts quite a bit. One piece of advice from others, let it be in a room temp or colder place...and don't freeze chocolate or else it'll get that white filmy stuff on it.

| I have heard that as long as the air is taken out of the bags and they are sealed, the candy can have up to a 10 month shelf life.
