Marrying The Love Of My Life - September 12, 2008!!!

I thought it was great! I'm sure its changed a ton in 35 years though. Its very developed. The Atlantis hotels are very much like Vegas, but you still have great beaches and stuff, so all of my guests enjoyed themselves.

Thanks, I got married at the RIU Paradise Island...its a small island connected by a bridge to Nassau (New Providence Island).

I thought it was great!!! At first I was worried the RIU would be grungy compared to the Atlantis next door. However, it was really nice! We upgraded to a junior suite and the balcony was huge! It was great for wedding pictures, here's one I took on our balcony before the wedding:

Also, I think the RIU is the only all inclusive on paradise island, so thats great because the Bahamas are expensive! Atlantis is very nice but one of their buildings looks worse than the RIU but its still more expensive and not all inclusive. The Atlantis is good to visit though. We used the casino, the waterpark, the mall, and the night club there. On our wedding night we went to the Atlantis night club called Aura and for 16 of us, the bill was 2300$ !!! But we were sitting in VIP which came with a private waitress and an armed body guard....basically it was just a cool experience.

If I ever went again, I would make it a longer trip and spend time on the smaller islands. However, I am the kind of person that prefers to try new places all the time, instead of always going back to one place.
