Not exactly the same thing, but sorta similar: my DH told me that in the weeks before the wedding, most of the guys he talked to who heard he was getting married (mostly co-workers and other random guys at work) would respond with some sort of comment about it being a mistake, or feeling sorry for him, etc. It really started to bug him - especially the guys who said he didn't know what he was getting himself into! (This is his second marriage, plus we'd already been living together for almost 2 years.) He had a few friends and a couple of co-workers who had genuine nice stuff to say, but most of it seemed pretty negative. He even got a comment at our rehearsal! It was in a hall that was being used by a community group the night before the wedding, and one of the older guys said something like "Oh, you're getting married? I feel sorry for you." My dad overheard that though, and growled back "Well I don't!" My dad is generally very mild-mannered, and this was the first time DH had seen his angry side! We never got that kind of comment. How mean! I can understand jokes about "balls and chains" and whatnot, but people actually feeling sorry for us? Come on.

I'm not nervous about the actual marriage. I'm more worried about the following :Drunks My moms family making a scene Wedding crashers food quality on day-of weather I have a feeling any combination of those factors is going to make me lose my effing mind particularly the first two as they kinda go hand in hand
~Kev & Jen 10.04.08~ "If Love is a Labor, I'll slave 'till the end, I won't cross these streets until you Hold my Hand" One of two cranky Virgos in the Grumps Club!!

FH has got a lot of this at work but its playful

I am not nervous about marrying my FH, we have known each for 13 years, we have dated for 10 years and have lived together for 7. I can't wait to be his wife. But I am VERY NERVOUS about walking down the aisle, my stomach is turning just thinking about it . I really hope I don't fall Holy Cow! I think we are identical! Totally not nervous about marrying my sweetheart, but I am typically extremely shy. The thought of me and FH being the centre of attention that day, is killing me. I get severe diarrhea and the whole puking scene. Great...real attractive!!! Something to look forward to. I wish I could fast forward the ceremony. When I get nervous I get emotional (I said laugh and crying at the same time). My FH know he will have to do all the speeches and thank yous. It is weird I am not a super shy person but I do not do well in group where I am centered out. Even the shower & stagette bothers me because everyone has to show up to something for me, i fell think i am putting people off whatever plans they might have that day.
