| I'm curious to see if I will ovulate on my own this month or not. I simply don't know if I can or will ovulate on my own, or if I will as a residual effect from all the fertility treatment from the last several months. In any case, my mom came to visit, and while travelling through the US, she picked me up 2 ovulation kits. Great price too .... about $11 each ... which is still less than half the cost of 1 here. The kit says it will tell me the 2 best days for ovulation or something like that. (I'd have to look at the box again to know exactly what it says). Each kit has 7 tests. I was ovulating around CD 16-18 on fertility drugs .... and it seemed consistent every month. So when should I start using a kit? Would CD12 or 13 be too soon? or too late? I really only want to use 1 kit so I dont waste a kit needlessly. SO, what would you do? Thanks

I charted my temps and when I saw a consistant pattern I started to use the test 2 days before my temp spike. I was using the test as a back-up confirmation of what my charts were saying. The test tests the level of some hormon in your urine. That hormone shows 1 aqnd 2 days before you OV (or something like that) Hope that helps. And good luck.

I was also ovulating around CD16-17 when I was on Clomid. The instructions with the kit said to start testing around CD13-14 if you ovulate around that time and to do so until you get a + ovulation test. For me, it was showing + at CD15-16 for the 2 months where I used them. I was also charting BBT and using it to confirm the ovulation.
Good luck girl!!!

| it is always good to use them earlier in your cycle because if you use it too close to your ovulation time - you might be testing at the tail end of your surge. Good luck!!

I think starting around day 13-14 would be best...that way, if you normally ov a few days later, you'll probably catch your surge from the very first day and be able to take advantage of the whole "most fertile" 48 hour window those tests are supposed to help you find Best of luck!!BTW, that is a GREAT price for those kits! Where did your mom pick them up? (just in case I happened to be in the states for any reason, lol)

They were Clear Blue Easy and $10 for a 7 stick test kit. So i bought like 3 kits, cost me the same as 1 kit up here!
