| FH and I got engaged in April of 07, and since then I've been asking him to look into Engagement Photos and he does not seem interested. He's not the "romantic" kinda guy who will just jump at this kind of thing. Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem and how talked him into it? haha

I have the same problem - there's no way he'd be comfortable going on an engagement photoshoot, personally, neither am I. I still want some nice pics of us done though, so we we're going to get studio pics done, which I got him to agree to. I told him it was something I wanted to do, showed him websites of photographers/ sample pics in their galleries, to show him it's not that bad.. oh and show him pics of other couples in galleries or in the weekend newspaper to show that everyone else is doing it, and that you guys need a pic for the paper too.. lol, so its just something that needs to be done (don't give him a choice  )However, b/c we're 5 hours apart, and we see e.o. about 1 weekend a month, I've had a hard time finding a photographer I liked that was cheap and available on a weekend we'll be together.. so I've given up, and decided I am just going to have a friend/family member take a bunch of pictures of us and use those.

| i had to drag FH to take them, mostly b/c his sister was taking them for us, and they were fighting at the time!! and then when we got the pics back, he wasn't happy, b/c he looked upset or cold in every picture!! and he didn't like any of the pictures. and when i told him that we needed a bunch of pics for the guest book and for the seating plan charts, he's kind of freaking out b/c he doesn't like any of our pictures, so now he is going to get some more taken, and we'll have a bunch of new good pictures....

I had to drag fh there too. He even tried to pick a fight on the way there thinking we would jut turn around and go home. FH is very uncomfortable having his pic taken so I just kept telling him it is good to get comfortable with our photographer before the wedding so we can great shots there.

| I had the same problem with me FH, but it the end I realized it was not all that important to me. I was doing because that is what I thought you had to do. Plus we will only be engaged for 11 months by the time we get married, so we will have the pics from the wedding.

My FH doesn't like his pic taken either, he wanted to know why this had to be done. I had explained that we needed that photo's for the wedding day for the guest sign in since I only have like 3 GOOD pics of us together in the whole 6 yrs we've been together. Plus the engagement shoot came free with our wedding photographers pics. So he agreed as long as he didn't have to "become a preforming monkey" he was cool.....

DH didn't want to do it either, but he did it and it was great. When we met with the photographer, she just explained that its part of the package because that way we would get used to how she gives directions and she would learn how we work together and finding the right angles, etc. In the end, he actually had fun adn the pictures turned out great!

My guy just didn't even know people did engagement photos! I'm excited to have some good ones so we'll have to see how they turn out
