I agree Kiwi, whether or not you got to hold your baby makes you no more or less a mother than the rest of us. 

When I mentioned Mother's Day casually last week DH says to me "You're not a mother yet" and I not-so-politely told him that I most certainy WAS, and had been since November and then I cried for about half an hour wondering why my DH was so stupid sometimes!!

I am definitely not getting anything for mother's day and it's a good thing too - cause I'd probably throw it at DH

My DH said the same thing. So I told him that if he doesn't get me anything for Mother's Day than he's not getting anything for Father's Day! Simple as that!

And Happy Mother's Day everyone!
