| I was just going over my potential seating plan and it occurred to me that I'm not overly fond of plain old numbers for the tables. Has the trend passed on themed tables instead of numbers. I was thinking of doing flower names or important dates for FH and I...like 'First Date' and have a picture of us when we went to the zoo, or 'Will you Marry Me? and show a picture of us in Holland where we got engaged. Or should I just stick to table numbers and keep it simple.... any advice would be great, thanks ladies

I think that what you are thinking about is a good idea.. it would be different.. I'm not fond of the normal table numbers either and haven't decided what I'm doing.. but I think the 'first date' and 'will you marry me' etc would be a cool idea.. you have my vote~!

| There were a few posts about this on the old boards. One couple had a picture of them doing something for each table and they were holding the number. (for example they were jumping off a picnic table holding the number 7). Another couple were getting married in an old airplane museum (I think) and named all their tables after old planes. I think it is fun to go with your theme and then give names to the tables instead of numbers. Flowers would be good! We are getting married at a camp and are both huge hockey fans. I flip between having camp songs, or camp names as table identifiers or hockey teams. Still deciding. If anyone has an idea for something campy let me know!

We're having a royal/fairy tale wedding and using parts of the castle to name the tables.. 'the keep' is the safest part so it'll be the head table and all of fh's friendes will be eatting in 'the stables'. hehe I love it. Definately if you have theme go with it. If not I think anything goes.

I dont think table numbers are out of date as persay... but I do think that BTBs are definitely getting more creative with the table numbers/ideas for seating charts. There is nothing wrong with keeping it simple with numbers or letters, but there is also nothing wrong with being a little creative and unique as well!

I don't think I will make a 'theme' for the table numbers
(but who knows ...I may change my mind) What I was thinking
to do was to just decorate each number with different
fonts and colours...
I like the idea of having pics of the couple holding
the numbers...

| I think table names are a lovely idea!! I'm doing table names as well. Each table will be named a Christmas song.
