That isn't nice at all! You apologized and that should be okay...especially since you found them sitting around chatting and it didn't seem like there were any other clients waiting around...I say go for it...definitely "short-tip" them because of this...but you know what...I have a feeling on your wedding day they are going to treat you like a princess...

| Bride Brain strikes again!!! My wedding is months away and already, I have lost my little brain. Don't worry about the chicks at the salon...you probably screwed up their lunch break schedule and you apologized...we are only human right?? You would think that in a salon, they might expect a bride would be a little stressed or running late on occasion. If you like their work, go through with your plans to get your hair and makeup done and then find another salon to go to...why give them more business? You don't need the stress now of trying to find another. Maybe post your story with the salon name so other brides can be aware of their customer service habits! JJF

| ok .. given that your wedding is only weeks away, I can understand not wanting to go elsewhere or fear not finding anyone else to do it on short notice. However, I would call the salon and ask to speak to the manager/owner and tell her/him exactly what happened and exactly what was said and also what was left on your machine. It was inappropriate for them to be so blatantly rude. Since you dropped $200 in 2 days, you didnt deserve that treatment and that you are considering going elsewhere unless they do something to appease you and rectify the situation. If they ask .. well what would you like .. then tell them that you deserve a free hairdo the morning of your wedding or at the very least, a hefty discount on the price. If they suggest that they cant do that .. simply tell him/her "sure you can, just like I can tell each and every one of my 300 guests at my reception exactly what your shop is like and how you treat people who arrive late (accidentally)" ... now ... do something for me to rectify the situation or I will personally tell as many ppl as I can and we both know that if I tell 10 people or 300, they will turn around and tell that many more" .. so what will it be?? I bet you get a free updo on your wedding day or at least a hefty discount!

| They had no business being so rude. You apologized - what more can you do? They should have accepted it seeing how much money you spent at their salon. I have one word for them it starts with a B. I agree with the other posters on the tip part - skimp on it - but if on your wedding day she does a great job and is not rude then you can give her one but if they play the same game that day don't give one at all. What is it with hair stylists and doctors? - they sure don't mind making us wait for them but when we are late - they sure like to get upset about it! I always have to wait when I make an appt at the hair salon - I find they double book sometimes or take longer than usual with the previous client - hence, making me wait 15minutes or longer for my appt. I never go early - I make it there exactly on time or 5 minutes late cause I know they will never take me on time.
