My bum now officially is a big bruise! Fh was kind enough to point and laugh as I changed for bed...yes, Jules, it is a little funny but it hurts too! Had Quiznos for dinner after being at the immunization clinic for my shots, pity party for one..well two, FH was there too! Try buying the little bags of chips if you need a fix...I don't usually crave salty but chocolate LOL. Good luck on your surgery tomorrow to the bride who posted above Jules, sorry I didn't get your name. Will be sending you happy vibes all day..here they go ~happy~ ~happy~...

thanks..  i am sure the surgery will go well..   or so my family keeps telling me..

i was really good for supper today..  made french toast with peaches and whipped cream.. and i made bacon.. i had 2 peices of bacon..  and i hate whip cream.. so i didn't eat that.. lol..   and as of midnight tonight.. i am fasting..  whoohoo fun for me..  and then.. its hospital food..  again.. whoohoo for me LOL..  so i will be back in a couple days and then its back to planning the wedding..  lol i am actually taking my book with all my wedding lists and stuff in it to the hospital..  gotta plan something regardless of where i am ..  or how out of it i will be..  I won't be able to go to curves tho when i get out of the hospital..  so it will strictly be walking.. and i am not supposed to do a lot of walking..  so i am really going to have to watch what i eat..

It has been awhile since I have posted.  Fell off the wagon and got back on but not much difference.

start weight - 194.6

current weight - 192.4

goal weight but October 2006 - 135

EEKS!!!! Lots to go!  I was thinking of joining a running room in my city! Any running room participants? I was going to join the all women's Learn to Run program - starts this saturday the 13th and runs until July 15th.  I really want to start - need a great big PUSH!  It is my bday tomorrow - May 9th and it use to be a goal date for me - but I screwed up big time - I have 57 pounds to go!

Congrats on everyone's success and to all that are down and out, pick yourself up and move on - don't punish yourself!!! I should follow that rule!

Just checking in,

Cliffsgal

Has anyone watched the show x-weighted?  It totally inspired me last night.  I couldn't believe the 6 month turnaround the girl had - she lost something like 37 lbs (she was aiming for 60) but she looked FABULOUS.

Also, anyone who is looking for some help with a meal plan for weight loss might want to check this site out:
http://www.nutritiondata.com/

It is super amazing and tells you everything you could ever want to know about all sorts of foods.  The best part is you can do searches like: Fruit and Fruit Juices - Better Choices for weight loss (as an example) http://www.nutritiondata.com/foods-009997034033000000000.html

It will give you a list of fruits and fruit juices and tell you the calories + all the other nutrition facts you could possibly need.  There are 3 graphs - on the first one (Caloric Ratio Pyramid) you want to stay as close to the bottom of the pyramid as possible.  On the second graph (Nutrient Balance Indicator) you want to light up as many bars as possible EXCEPT the yellow ones - those are the saturated fats and sodiums you want to stay away from.  On the last graph (Nutritional Target Map) you want to hit as close to the top right as you can.  So you can tell as a fast glance of those 3 charts if the food you picked is healthy.  I am looking at apricots right now - they are REALLY good for you.  Too bad I don't like them hahaha.  Plus there is a ton of other info.

Then you can plan healthier meals making better food choices and just make sure the total stays in your target calorie range.  With a decent and constantly-intensifying workout, the weight should come off pretty steadily!  (I'm hoping).  I just found this website, and also a site that lets you download mp3 versions of weekly workouts to your IPod, so I am ready to give it a go!  I'm hoping to lose about 25 lbs, but I will be happy if I can fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes.

Some other helpful sites I've found:

Determines your BMI, if you are in a healthy weight range, your waist-to-height ratio, body fat percentage and lean body mass.  It also tells you how much protien and calories you should be eating a day. http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness/diet.html

Also, this site determines how many calories you burn per activity in a set amount of time based on your current weight http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_burn.html

I just read an article too, that states that the caloric needs of 2 women of the same height who want to lose 2 lbs a week would be different if their weight is different and the heavier woman would need more calories instead of less calories than the other.  The reason is that it takes more energy to carry around more weight, so you need to consume more calories than a lighter person.  But as you lose weight, your caloric need drops too, so you have to constantly keep reassessing yourself. http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/calories/calorie_needs/lose_weight.htm

Hi girls,

I just got home from the gym, and I am beat! I feel like I could fall asleep at my computer desk!
Weigh in, 171.5lbs, no real change. It's good though, because I haven't been doing so well with the eating, and I haven't been to the gym in a week.
I've started playing ball hockey on Mondays, there's a work out for you! TONS of running, and it's lots of fun! It usually keeps me motivated in the summer.

Jules, I'm a chip-craver too...especially anything to do with nachos!
